Introducing Zapier: A Simple Way to Connect

Every team is different. You have different goals, different processes and use different tools. Because of that, it’s important that modern web applications can be modern, open and able to integrate with each other without much pain. I don’t think there’s any better application that enables those values more than Zapier.

How To Use Zapier and Ruler Analytics

During the beta period, we have seen some of the amazing ways customers have utilised Zapier to connect Ruler Analytics with applications that span sales, marketing and more. The ease of sharing data easily is extremely convenient. It drastically improves the amount of value you’re able to realise from Ruler Analytics and opens up some unique use cases that we would’ve never before imagined.

What is Zapier?

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Zapier is a simple way to share data between applications, even if they don’t have a native API integration. There’s nothing complicated required: no development, no coding, no special knowledge. Zapier takes one or more applications of your choice and creates pipelines between over 750 other applications that use their platform.

Creating an integration is simple. All you have to do is select the applications and data you wish to send. It’s no more difficult than creating a simple email workflow.

Getting Started

First of all, you need to create an account with Zapier. There’s a free option as well as paid options for when your usage begins to increase.

If you’re a little daunted at all of the possibilities you now have available to you, check out some of the integrations other Ruler Analytics has already created on our zapbook. These premade zaps can simply be copied into your own Zapier accounts so you can get started straight away

Why We Chose Zapier?

Ruler Analytics is primarily an application that deals with data. We are proud of the brilliant reporting interfaces we are building. It is used by our users every day. But we know that there’s much more value in data when there’s a greater context around it.

Zapier allows us to turn our platform from a single silo of data into a living, breathing network that receives and channels information from many different sources. Whereas Ruler Analytics was once solely used by marketing professionals, we’re increasingly seeing individuals from the sales function and executive levels using Ruler data to measure the commercial impact of their sales and marketing activity.

This wouldn’t have been possible without Zapier.

Whilst we will continue building out native integrations for the products our customers use the most (our Google Ads and Google Analytics integrations for example), Zapier offers us an easy, effective and available solution from the go.
