Buyer's Journey

The buyer’s journey is a three step process that consumers go through that ultimately converts them from prospect, to lead, to customer. Through content and marketing, businesses can guide prospects through the stages from becoming aware of, to considering, to buying your product or service.

What are the three stages of the buyer’s journey?

The buyer’s journey is split into three stages.

Awareness: the first stage is all about awareness. Here, a potential buyer is simply trying to solve a problem. They will use organic search, social media, and recommendations to find the solution to their problem, which could be your product or service.

Consideration: the second stage is consideration. Here, the user will know what they need to solve their problem, but will be considering multiple options.

Decision: After thorough comparison and consideration, the user will decide on a particular product or service, and make a decision to purchase the one most relevant to them.
