Display Ad

Display ads are a form of advertising a product or service through a visual advert on networks of publisher sites like the Google Display Network and Facebook etc. Display ads are placed on relevant third-party websites, but can be split into three types:

  1. Site placement advertising: This type of display advertising is where the marketer chooses the specific website(s) they would like to run their ads on
  2. Contextual advertising:  Here, marketers can place ads on relevant websites that fit a chosen sector, for example women’s health.
  3. Remarketing: Remarketing display ads only appear in front of users who have already been on a particular landing page and as such, could appear on any third party site.
